I took this image in India while walking peacefully in a garden; I was struck by the powerful simplicity of the offering at hand. This image made me curious about the symbolic meaning of our hands and I discovered that our hands and their symbolism are very intricate and fascinating (at least to me…) and show up in many cultural settings. I love symbolism!

There is great manifesting power in knowing how to use your hands with consciousness, I invite you to become aware of how you are using your hands. 

Before this deeper investigation, I have always been aware of placing my palms up or down when meditating as a way of either opening to receive (palms up) or a way to ground myself (palms down). more on mudras here >
