For years I searched for answers to end my inner turmoil around my relationship with food and my body. This quest led me around the world experiencing and learning different meditation and healing modalities in hopes of quenching my inner desire for self-love and inner peace.
I’ll never forget my first breath session and how something so simple as the breath could be so profound and powerful.
I felt so connected to my body, so awake and alive – I fell in love with the way I was feeling. And thus began my journey to love myself breath by breath. I didn’t realize how disconnected I was from my body until I started doing breath work, layers would peel away and old stories would be replaced with new ones. I didn’t have to figure anything out anymore, I learned to just trust and surrender to my body and the science of the breath. This was a huge relief for me, being an over thinker and all, and a lesson I took with me into life and making choices.
Just Trust.
This deep personal transformation led me to become a certified Bio-Dynamic Breath Practitioner in 2007. I had never intended to teach breath work, I just wanted the healing experience… but my life had other plans for me and soon after that I was asked to assist my teachers in Pune, India at the Osho Ashram. Watching so many people shed layers of their past, transform pain in their bodies, and release emotions that were holding them back had me so inspired and forever changed. I spent 6 months in India, and when I returned back to NYC I joined up with a fellow breather to co-run Urban Breath NYC, facilitating weekly breath workshops to help people use this powerful tool to break free of what is holding them back from loving themselves and their lives.
Break free from what is holding you back.
