Fun fact about Lisa: I was an athlete growing up. A really good one. Captain of the field hockey & softball teams in high school! 🏑⚾️⚽️ And soccer on weekends (goalie)! A got a few MVP awards, state champions and a sports scholarship to college 😱🥇🏆
…And most importantly, I learned to have athlete mindset!
I see my athlete mind play out in life today. I’m very grateful for those experiences of leadership, teamwork, winning, losing, pushing mentally & physically! I am who I am today because of those times.
I was committed. 💯
There was no in-between.
As an adult I started wavering. My mind let excuses pull me away from my goals. I fell into social paradigms, peer pressure, curiously trying new things. The drifting away was subtle but it was there. Overtime this had an impact on how I viewed myself, valued my time, trusted my own thoughts and made decisions. I slowly became disconnected. I lost my commitment to myself.
In an attempt to wake myself up and choose differently, I created these 30 day sprints for myself to gain back my discipline and self trust.
I felt unstoppable.
Confident.
Powerful.
I was inspiring others.
I was changing.
I trusted myself.
Why?!
Because I was committed 100% with no room for excuses. I felt freedom in the discipline and it resulted in gaining back my ability to trust myself again. I put me first and watch everything else thrive around me.
